Additionally, two new Muslim-owned restaurants were introduced:

  • Taste of Chakwal: Sham Shui Po

Users can explore these options through the “HalalSpot” tab in the app, which now includes a filter to identify restaurants that do not serve alcohol.

New Madrasah in Fo Tan

The app has also announced the opening of the Al-Suffah Academy in Fo Tan, Sha Tin, on 27 August 2024. This madrasah will provide Islamic education for children, covering the Quran, Islamic studies, and the Arabic language. The facility is hoped to serve the community by hosting Jummah prayers and celebrations during Ramadan and Eid.

Users can find this new madrasah by navigating to the “DeenSpot” tab and selecting “Madrasahs.”

These updates aim to meet the diverse needs of the Muslim community in Hong Kong, providing both dining and educational opportunities.
