Asia-World Expo (AWE) has worked on a number of things to make it into a Muslim-friendly destination, providing an a comfortable environment for its visitors, particularly catering to the needs of the Muslim community through a variety of thoughtfully designed facilities.
They have received the Silver rating from CrescentRating – a Singaporean firm that audits Muslim-friendly facilities.
Prayer Rooms
AWE features two gender-segregated portable prayer rooms for Muslim visitors, equipped with prayer mats and clearly marked Qibla indicators. These rooms are maintained by a dedicated facility management team that collaborates with housekeeping to ensure cleanliness and uphold high hygiene standards.
Halal Food Options
Halal food is readily available at AWE Gourmet and selected outlets within the exhibition halls, catering to a diverse clientele. The venue partners with Halal-certified kitchens to provide meal boxes, with Halal certification prominently displayed for customer assurance. Additionally, five Pacific Coffee branches throughout the venue offer a limited Halal menu, accessible via the HK Muslim app. AWE also accommodates various dietary needs, including Jain meals and options tailored to specific religious requirements upon request.
Water-friendly Washroom Facilities and Ablution Facilities
Currently, water-friendly washrooms and ablution facilities are NOT AVAILABLE for the general public as the AsiaWorld Expo team is actively working towards arranging these facilities in the near future. There are only shower facilities (not bidet-friendly washrooms) reserved for organisers.
Please note – as the facilities are still being upgraded at the moment, we do not know the completion status of these facilities. We will update this article once we have additional information regarding the facilities.

We recommend you to download the MTR Mobile App and use the “Trip Planner” function to get to the location. Additionally, you can use the “Next Bus” option to see options for bus routes within the same app.
