The Hong Kong Muslim community prepares to welcome Ramadan 2026 as the Board of Trustees (BOT) has released a tentative timetable for the blessed month.

If the moon is sighted on Tuesday, 17 February 2026 (29 Sha’ban), Ramadan will begin on Wednesday, 18 February 2026; if not, it will begin on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

Please refrain from forwarding outdated messages closer to the beginning of Ramadan. Rely on official announcements from the Board and as well as our Instagram page and WhatsApp channel.

💰 Sadaqat al‑Fitr (Fitrana)

This year the recommended Sadaqat al‑Fitr is HK$30 per person.

🕌 Prayer Times and Taraweeh

Mosques under the Board of Trustees

The following mosques will observe this schedule for Isha and Taraweeh prayers:

Kowloon Masjid & Islamic Center – Tsim Sha Tsui Jamia Masjid – Central Chai Wan Masjid – Chai Wan Stanley Masjid

  • Adhan for Isha: 8:00 PM
  • Iqamah for Isha: 8:15 PM
  • Taraweeh: 8:30 PM

Masjid Ammar & O.R.S. Islamic Center – Wan Chai

  • Adhan for Isha: 7:50 PM
  • Iqamah for Isha: 8:00 PM
  • Taraweeh: 8:15 PM
